By the end of April, the wildebeest migration starts to spread west across the plains towards the Seronera area (central Serengeti) and Western Corridor (western Serengeti). The majority of the migration can normally be seen in the Seronera area (or just south of the Seronera, in the southern plains) from April to May. In June the majority of the migration can then be found in the Western Corridor. The Western Corridor is a narrow stretch of land that stretches from the west of Seronera to the Western Serengeti National Park border. The Western corridor is one of the areas where the migrating animals are forced to cross the Grumeti River. This normally happens when the animals leave the southern plains and begin heading north. Please note witnessing a crossing is a matter of luck.

Day 0: Arrival

We will pick you from Arusha airport or Kilimanjaro airport for overnight in your accommodation in Arusha city.

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park

We will leave Arusha early morning and travel to Serengeti National Park. We will travel to Serengeti on a road near the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, allowing for animal sightings along the way. The golden savannah and endless plains, teeming with zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes make it easy to understand why the Serengeti is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. On this day, we will enjoy a picnic lunch on Naabai kopje (a small, rocky hill in a generally flat area), where you will have the opportunity to view the Serengeti’s famous pink-headed lizards. After lunch, we will proceed further into the plains for a leisurely game drive. You will spend the night at the Serengeti Camp, and fall asleep to the playful calls of the zebra and hyenas dinner and overnight in your lodge..

Day 2: Central Serengeti – Western Serengeti

After breakfast we head towards the western reaches of the Serengeti National Park, also known as the Western Corridor. We will do a game drive en-route from the Seronera area to the Western Corridor area.

We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch will we enjoy an afternoon game drive in the area. The wildebeest migration can normally be found in the Western Corridor area in June, depending on rainfall patterns.

Dinner and overnight in the Western Corridor area, as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested

Day 3: Western Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

In the morning before we depart to Ngorongoro Crater where we will spend the night and enjoy a This day marks the last day of game drive in Serengeti before we make our way to Ngorongoro Crater. After an exciting game drive full of animal sightings and a picnic lunch we will drive to the Crater This night we will stay at Rhino lodge overlooking the unbroken caldera of Ngorogoro crater. The views of the sunset over the savannah are absolutely breathtaking. After a long day of adventuring, guests will enjoy a tasty dinner and Overnight Rhino lodge.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

early morning breakfast, we will hurry to Ngorongoro Crater, as it is the best time to spot animals. On this day, we will enjoy a game drive around the crater and stop for a picnic lunch at a small lake within the park. The lake is home to many hippos and migratory birds, so guests will be sure to enjoy the visit! Due to the animal “oasis” created within the crater, there is a high possibility of spotting every member of The Big five. The group comprises some of the strongest animals in Africa – the ferocious lion, the giant elephant, the stealthy leopard, the charging rhino and the mighty water buffalo. Ngorongoro Crater is truly an amazing place. Beautiful storks, ibis, and cranes are popular water birds in the crater, a sight not to miss. After a lovely afternoon of animal sightings, we will finally start our journey back to Arusha.
